Our research interests focus on exploring the long-range regulation of hematopoiesis via sensory perception and unexpected immune cell functions beyond their typical roles in innate immunity. Through our study, We aim to address the following fundamental questions in biology:
  1) How do multiple organs interact together to maintain homeostatic balance in animals?
  2) How do stem/progenitor cells coordinate their development in response to environmental changes?
  3) Do immune cells function in the non-immunological context?
  4) How can primitive immune cells of myeloid lineage evolve into colossally diverse vertebrate immune cells?
