Postdoctoral Position in Breast Cancer Signaling
A Postdoctoral position is available at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, to study signaling networks in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) subtypes. The goal of our study is to identify new therapeutic targets that can effectively inhibit cancer growth and/or prevent breast cancer metastasis and recurrence. We apply multidisciplinary experimental using in vitro and in vivo models. Current projects are focused on drug resistance, cancer stem cells, combination therapies, and TNBC subtypes specific targets therapies. Specific targets, such as the tyrosine kinase PYK2 (Lev S. et al, Nature 376:737-745, Verma et al., Nature Comm. 2015) and FAK are extensively studied.
Candidates must have a strong background in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and experience in signal transduction research. Individuals with bioinformatics background and/or experience with animal models are preferred.
Candidates should have their Ph.D. for no more than three years.
