Extension of Stay Period

 




1. If you want to stay longer than the permitted period, you need to apply for a visa extension before the expiration date. (Application is available from two months before the expiration date)   

 

2. If you need to make any changes on your registered information such as name, nationality, passport number or school, you have to notify and update the changed information at the local immigration office within 14 days from the date of the change made.

 




3. If you move to a new address, you need to report it to the local immigration office or city/gun/gu office of your new residence within 14 days of the date of moving.

 




4. International students who hold D-2 visa supposed to leave Korea within 30days from the date of the following academic change made; leave of absence, withdrawal from school or graduation. If you want to stay more for a specific reason, you have to get stay permission from the immigration office beforehand.

 




5. International students who hold D-2 visa need to obtain working permission beforehand from the immigration office if they intend to work in a company or an organization. 

 




6. Within 20 hours (undergraduate students)/ 30hour (Graduate students) for weekdays in a school term, up to 2 workplaces (No limit on legal holidays, weekends, and vacation)

     *Application for working permit is only available after confirmation of related school authority at OIA
