Genetics of stress response

Hpo pathway is well conserved signaling pathway from fly to mammals and involved in the regulation of tissue size homeostasis during early development. Component genes and interaction among them are also conserved well in C. elegans, but the function of this pathway is not well elucidated. In the previous study of our lab, we found that wts-1 is a homolog of LATS kinase, the core kinase of this pathway and it regulates the maintenance of intestinal cell membrane integrity. Now, we are trying to identify novel genes in this pathway and dissect its function in development and neurogenesis of worms.
