We might have a chance to take advantage of pilot test run of our samples with newly installed NGS machine (SOLID 4) in our department (genome research facility). I told some of you already, but if any of you have a sample to analyze please let me know.

Using NGS, we will be able to compare transcriptomes, microRNA profile, SNP or point mutation, and so on. For example, we will be able to compare the transcriptome of Ler and elg with and without NaCl treatment (total 4 samples). Please suggest me whatever experiments you have in your mind. It does not have to be Arabidopsis for this experiments. We can analyze brachypodium and rice.
